A friend from work recently went to Hong Kong on a shopping trip and I asked her to pick me up a couple of things as though prices of cosmetics in Australia are extortionate. Chanel's Péridot nail polish was one of the items (I'll show you the other item I got soon!) and I am completely in love. At first, this nail polish never really caught my eye until I kept seeing a lot of my favourite bloggers wearing it and it looked so beautiful on them. Now that I own it and have it on my own nails, I am sitting here wondering how I never impulsively bought this nail polish ages ago. It's a shimmery gold/green colour and I adore the colour even more when more of the green tones show through. It's from Chanel's 2011 Fall Collection, but many places still carry it.
I think out of all the nail polish brands, Chanel is by far my favourite. Yes, OPI has an amazing colour range, but there's just something about Chanel nail polish. I feel like my nails look better in Chanel and of course, I immediately feel girly, classy and sophisticated in it too.
In other news, I'm feeling a little depressed because I got stupidly drunk on Saturday night and left my beloved not-even-two-months-old iPhone in a taxi. I am a complete idiot. I have a new SIM card, but no back up phone and I don't want one either. How can I go from having an iPhone back to a regular phone? I just can't do it. I'm praying the police will call soon telling me they've found it, but there's probably no chance. Hopefully home and contents insurance will cover it or I'm screwed! I never thought I could feel so sad about an inanimate object. I'm going to go forget about the pain by watching Gossip Girl.

awww nooo!! I felt your devastating pain when I read you lost your beloved iphone in a taxi!! OMG that's my biggest fear is forgetting my phone when I go out anywhere I always have to triple look to make sure its in my bag... :'( I was JUST about to comment on your awesome phone cover and thought I can not bring back the thoughts of your pretty phone to you (although I just did anyway) but omg and I'm guessing you lost the cover too? wahhhh! or fingers crossed you took the cover off? I hope your phone gets returned back to you however knowing taxi's once its left there it'll be taken. I lost my I.D on NY's last year and some kind Samaritan handed it to the police and the police kindly dropped it off for me at my house HOW nice right? they actually called me somehow I have no idea how they got my mobile number.. so hopefully some one is kind enough to give it back to you if they found it - or there is an app where you can locate you phone i think? anyway sorry for blabbering on! I LOVE that nail polish! Isn't it just grand? At first glimpse before I purchased mine I wasn't sure but then I couldn't help but be swooned over the shade - is it gold is it green is it glaxay?! I don't know but it's freaking amazing! It definitely suits you! Chanel is just a lovely brand! XO

I feel your pain :( And wow, I've been lusting after that gold colour polish for a while, I'm definitely setting my sights on Chanel now.

ReplyDeleteThat SUCKS about your phone! It's one of my biggest fears to lose my phone - my friends always make fun of me because I'm constantly checking on it or I always need to have it in front of me so I can see it. It also doubly sucks that someone would just steal it and not return it.
My friend got her iPhone 4S stolen and insurance didn't cover it. :( Buying a new iPhone out of contract is like $600 USD too (w/ a contract it's like $200!). My friend was able to find an iPhone 4 for $300 on Craigslist, which wasn't too bad all things considered. The downside is that the 4S is still stupidly expensive so she had to "downgrade" (kind of, since she didn't really use Siri or anything).
I don't know if something like Craigslist exists in Australia, but you might want to look into that if insurance doesn't work out! Or maybe even eBay.

Deleteyou know if i saw that nail polish in a bottle in a shop i probably wouldn't look twice at it because it doesn't seem like my kind of colour, but seeing how it shimmers on your nails makes it look so beautiful! i really like it.
